In January, BerkleyNet announced the high performing producers in their top agencies, and those listed were selected to attend the invitation only 2017 Ambition Summit. Appalachian Underwriters is proud to announce that two of our Workers’ Compensation underwriters, Anna Raper and Taylor Cross, were selected and attended the event on April 18th through the 20th.
During the three day event, Raper and Cross toured BerkleyNet’s new office space, met other producers in the industry, and participated in seminars and roundtable discussions including sales and leadership workshops and tactical breakouts. “We heard from Berkley Executives John Goldwater, James Gilbert, and Brian Risen on the direction they see the Workers’ Compensation industry heading and learned tips and techniques on how to set ourselves apart from the competition,” Cross said. “Overall, it was a wonderful experience for any new Workers’ Compensation underwriter looking to learn more about this industry.”
Both Raper and Cross are fairly new to the insurance industry with each having 2 years of experience. They were surprised and honored to receive the invitation. “The Ambition Summit was a great experience to not only see things from the carrier’s perspective, but from the perspective of other wholesalers and competitors across the country,” Raper said.
