Appalachian Underwriters has been named a 2017 5-Star MGA by Insurance Business America in these four specialties: Construction, Environmental, Hospitality, Professional Liability. A total of 1,419 wholesale partners were rated, and only 41 earned a 5-Star status in at least one specialty.
Hundreds of producers were polled to rate how their wholesale partner – whether a broker or MGA – performs on a scale of 1 (poor) to 10 (excellent) over seven key areas. An average score of 8 or higher across all seven criteria awarded them a 5-Star designation in that specialty.
