Appalachian Underwriters, Inc. is excited to announce the recent hire of Transportation Broker, Mary Kidd, to the Sarasota, Florida office. Mary will focus on large Commercial Transportation accounts, those over $25,000 in premium, across all states.
Mary comes to AUI with 28 years of experience in commercial auto insurance, starting as a Commercial Auto Underwriter and spending the last 10 years as a Fleet Transportation Manager and Specialist with another MGA.
“Agents have asked us about Commercial Auto accounts for a few years now, and we just did not have the markets”, said Mark Arnold, AUI Brokerage Director. “Now with Mary on the team, we have added multiple carriers to the mix for our Brokerage division, and we have an all new appetite for large Transportation risks. She brings a ton of relationships to AUI and carries a great reputation in the industry, so we are excited to see what is in store for this venture!”
